AlphaTheta warranty registration form

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is re-registration needed?

Re-registration is required in cases where the original proof of purchase is not available — for example, if the product was bought second-hand from a private seller.

For warranty claims with AlphaTheta (formerly Pioneer DJ), a product must either:

  • Be supported by the original proof of purchase, or
  • Be officially registered to the current owner in the system

If neither is available, a warranty claim cannot be approved.

What does re-registration do?

Re-registration transfers the product into your name in the official system used by AlphaTheta, authorized dealers, and service centers.

Once completed:

  • You will be recognized as the official owner
  • A new warranty certificate is issued for the remaining warranty period
  • You (or a future buyer) can use the warranty without any issues

How long does re-registration take?

Re-registrations are processed on the same day the form is submitted — as long as it is received within our opening hours.

Opening hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 09:00 – 16:30
  • Friday: 09:00 – 16:00

If the form is submitted outside of these hours, the re-registration will be completed on the next business day.

For more details, please read more about our opening hours here.

Is physical re-registration still required?

No — physical re-registration is no longer required.

Previously, the process required sending the device to a service center.

Today, re-registration is completed quickly and easily via an online form.

Do I need to re-register again if I sell the product?

No.

Re-registration only needs to be completed once.

After that:

  • The warranty remains valid
  • The new owner can use the warranty without repeating the process

Can you re-register products that were not purchased from you?

No.

Re-registration must be carried out by the original seller of the product.

If the product was originally purchased from another retailer, you will need to contact that retailer directly to have the re-registration completed.

Important to know

  • Re-registration is free of charge
  • It is only required when the original proof of purchase is missing
  • Without re-registration, warranty claims will be rejected

If you have purchased your product second-hand or no longer have the original proof of purchase, re-registration may be required in order to use the warranty.

For warranty claims with AlphaTheta (formerly Pioneer DJ), the product must either be supported by the original proof of purchase or be registered to the current owner in the official system. If neither is available, warranty service cannot be approved.

Re-registration ensures that the product is officially linked to you as the owner. Once completed, a new warranty certificate will be issued for the remaining warranty period. This allows you to use the warranty without issues and, if you decide to sell the product in the future, the next owner will also be able to use the warranty without needing to repeat the process.

Previously, re-registration required sending the product to a service center. Today, the process is much simpler and can be completed by submitting the form on this page. Re-registrations are handled quickly and, in most cases, processed on the same business day during opening hours.

Please note that re-registration must always be carried out by the original seller of the product. If your product was originally purchased from another retailer, you will need to contact them directly to complete the process.

Re-registration is free of charge and only needs to be completed once. However, it is an essential step if the original proof of purchase is not available and you wish to retain access to warranty services.

If you are unsure whether re-registration is necessary in your case, we recommend reviewing the FAQ above or contacting us for guidance.
